Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Bites
  • 1 lb chicken breasts 2 pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes optional
Honey Garlic Glaze
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoon water to thin out the glaze
  • 2 tablespoon cold butter
  • Garnish with chopped chives

Method
 

  1. Cut the chicken into 1-inch cubes. In a bowl, season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until evenly coated.

  2. Add cornstarch and mix well.

  3. Heat avocado oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add chicken and sear until golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add minced garlic and red chili flakes (optional). Sauté 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and water. Stir until the sauce slightly thickens for 2 minutes.

  6. Drop in cold butter and swirl until glossy and luscious.

  7. Add chicken back to the pan and toss to coat.
  8. Serve and enjoy
    Garnish with chopped chives

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan or you’ll steam instead of sear.
