Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs (20 Minute Dinner)

These Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs are the best weeknight dinner ever. No marinating required, it all comes together in 20 minutes. Serve with some rice, your favorite veggies or salad, and you’re set!

Ingredients
  

  • 6 chicken thighs skin-on boneless
  • 6 garlic cloves finely minced
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon cold butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  1. Pat dry the chicken with paper towels.
    6 chicken thighs
  2. Season with salt & pepper on both sides.

  3. Heat a heavy skillet to medium-high (no oil!). Add the chicken, skin-side down. Cook 5 minutes until crispy, then flip and cook 2 more minutes.
  4. Remove chicken to a plate.
  5. Lower the heat to medium, add minced garlic, and sauté just until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
    6 garlic cloves
  6. Stir in honey + soy sauce + cold butter until the butter melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
    3 tablespoon honey, 2 tablespoon soy sauce, 2 tablespoon cold butter
  7. Return chicken to the pan and coat with the glossy sauce.
  8. Serve it up with rice and greens and dive in!

Notes

  • Make sure to pat the chicken dry with paper towels to get a nice crispy chicken.
  • Cold butter thickens the sauce and adds a silky gloss.
  • Add crushed red pepper fakes if you like a little spice in your life.
