Ingredients for Nuoc Cham Dipping Sauce
- FISH SAUCE - 3 crabs brand is the best. It is definitely the most authentic. Hoe do you know it is the right brand? 3 crabs are on the label. Easy peasy!
- LIME - It is important to use fresh lime juice. Do not buy the fake pre-juiced bottles.
- HOT WATER - the water is for dissolving the sugar.
- FRESH MINCED GARLIC - fresh garlic has the best flavor. If you use the bottled stuff, your dipping sauce might taste bitter.
- SUGAR - To balance all the flavors.
- BIRDS EYE CHILI - This is optional. I love adding chili to my sauces. If making for young kids, add as little or as much as you want.
