I couldn't believe how good and easy these were to make. I am always skeptical with "viral" social media trends, but this is legit. I loved the flavors. Another viral trend you need worth checking out is miso chicken.
Baked dumplings are best served during fall and winter when cozy one-pan dinners comes in handy. This viral dish also shines during busy weeknights. Just pair with some rice, salad, and you're good to go.
If dumplings are your jam, you should try my cabbage dumplings. Instead of dumpling wrappers, I stuffed cabbage with the dumpling mixture. It was 10/10 one of the best things I've ever made.

How to make dumpling bake (VIDEO)
Step by Step (PICTURES)

Dump the coconut milk

Add in the teriyaki sauce, Thai red curry paste, water, chili crisp - mix well

Add your choice of veggies. I chose broccoli and red bell peppers.

Add the dumplings. Cover with a foil and bake.
Brands I recommend
Teriyaki sauce → buy store bought. I love this brand.
Red curry paste → get the Thai Kitchen brand - it's less spicy so it works for the whole family. But if you do want it spicy - I would use this Mae Ploy brand.
Chili crisp → Omit if you don't have it.
Dumplings → use potstickers or gyozas. Basically, anything you can find at the frozen section.
Veggies → snap peas, baby bok choy, mushrooms, spinach, whatever you can find in your fridge.
See recipe card for quantities.

Method
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 °F (about 175 °C).
- In an oven-safe baking dish (approx. 9×13″), dump the coconut milk, teriyaki sauce, red curry paste, chili crisp and water. Stir to combine until smooth.
- Add the chopped vegetables evenly across the dish.
- Nestle the 20 dumplings on top (if frozen, place them frozen-side down) so they sit in the sauce and are partially covered.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil. Bake for 30 minutes.
- After 30 min, remove foil and optionally bake an extra 3-5 minutes uncovered if you like slightly crisp edges on your dumplings.
- Remove from oven, let rest for a minute or two, then garnish with green onions. Serve with freshly made rice.

Notes
- Use frozen dumplings. No need to thaw. Saves time and keeps them plump.
- Cover the dish with foil to trap steam and ensure the sauce stays creamy, then uncover at the end if you want a little crisp.
- If sauce seems too thin after baking, stir gently to distribute, or bake uncovered another 2-3 mins to reduce slightly.
- Serve over plain jasmine rice or steamed noodles to soak up the sauce.

Hello, do you use unsweetened coconut milk? Thanks!
Carmen Spillette says
Always! Just use the Thai Kitchen brand. It is super high quality. Full fat and unsweetened always.
