Substitutions
- Steak: If you’re looking for a good option with a similar texture and flavor, consider using thicker steaks like ribeye or porterhouse.
- Avocado Oil: You can substitute olive oil for avocado oil. It provides a slightly different flavor but works well for cooking.
- Salt: If you're following a calorie diet and want to reduce sodium intake, consider using kosher salt instead of regular salt, as it can enhance flavor with less overall saltiness.
- Black Pepper: If you want to add more flavor, try incorporating a seasoning blend that includes garlic powder or smoked paprika to elevate the taste without adding extra calories.

How to store and reheat
To store air fryer strip steaks, let them cool and place them in an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
When ready to reheat, air fry again for 2 minutes or my preferred method is pan frying with a little bit of butter.
Top tips for success
- Choose the Right Type of Steak: Select a quality strip steak (at least 1.5 inch thick) for the best results and even cook with a nice sear.
- Prepare the Outside of the Steak: Season the steak with your favorite spices and use a little oil to enhance the crust, achieving a flavorful sear without excess grease.
- Monitor the Size of Your Air Fryer: Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure proper airflow. Cook to your desired level of doneness—aim for 125°F for medium-rare, adjusting the cooking time as needed. REST THE STEAKS AFTERWARD.
